Shooting Brake, Mercedes's Unique Station Wagon
German luxury car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz decided to produce the Shooting Brake concept model CLS as part of the CLS model range station wagon in 2012. This new model will be manufactured at the Sindelfingen plant, which is the biggest factory which also manufactures the Mercedes C-Class sedan, the E-Class saloon and estate, S-Class, CLS and CL Coupe.
As a forerunner CLS-class four-door kupe, the Shooting Brake also offers a unique station wagon that has a long roofline sloping down to the back of the car. Long hood and glass door without frame - that characterize a kupe Mercedes - confirmed the figure of sporty. The main tech LED lights and the display face inspired supercar SLS.
"Shooting Brake Concept-based main traditions about the style and character of kupe sporty Mercedes. And this car Mercedes designs bring the unique heritage for the future," said Professor Gorden Wagener, Mercedes-Benz design leadership.
The characters also appear in the sporty interior design.
